About our Project

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
Language tells lies but if we use correct body language, it never tells lies.
Each gesture is like a single word and one word may have several different meanings. Our pupils think that “We don’t understand them. We don’t talk same languages.”Actually we speak same body language the people all around the world because Body Language is universal. If we understand them correctly or know what it means, we solve the problems before being problems and we may educate self-conscious generation who knows how to treat by themselves.For all of us becoming sensitive to the clues of body language can help us communicate more effectively with pupils.
    Moreover, using right body language will eliminate problems between parents-school and pupils. We can understand what pupils are saying even when they are not talking. We can sense when pupils are silent and digesting information, or when they are silent and confused. We can share feelings too strong or too difficult to be expressed in words, and we may spot contradictions between what pupils say and what they really mean.
Finally, we can learn to be more sensitive to our own bodies – to see how they express our feelings and to see ourselves as others see us.
   In the project context,we want to share our feelings, thoughts, desires, needs and spiritual riches with their European peers. Thus we aim to reveal pupils can agree not using languages to another countries’ pupils by the help of dramas,various posters,pandomime shows, silent films,brochures,contest including body language.
While doing these fun activities related to body language,we are planning to ensure that students learn by living,performing  and provide our pupils’ sympathize with a  language and we want to share these beauties with the European pupils.

 

OBJECTIVES:
In order to meet mentioned needs, this partnership will be a platform to establish European  Cooperation in international cultural interaction by improving the communication skills and using of body language with the participation of primary and secondary schools in partner countries.
To reach that target, the project mainly aims to enable partners:
-to improve their social and communicative skills
-to comprehend how we can use body language more effectively
-to observe that  how the European colleagues deal with these issues
-to comprehend the meanings of messages conveyed by body language figures
-to discover resemblances and diversities of body languages figures in participant countries
-to prevent the wrong usage of body language
-to compare similar and different approaches towards communication skills
-to increase the number and the level of foreign languages of the pupils and staff of the school
-to see the importance of the International cooperation ,change and  support by involving in the common  activities and    innovations at the international areas
-eliminate the fear of strangers or the prejudice of cannot communicate with strangers
-see different countries and will learn their life styles

 

STRATEGY :
     During the project period,the students will take active role in the activities.As the main concern is improving the communication skills by using the body language correctly,the interaction among different countries-pupils-teachers and institutions will be crucial.
     Moreover, an approach focused on an actively  involving pupils and on cooperative learning will be used. The usage of modern technologies will be very important as well as mobilities.
     In the course of mobilities,partners will see how different countries’ people use body language. Besides, they will learn more via cultural interaction.
    With the help of different approaches from different countries, a mutual understanding will be maintained.

 

RESULTS AND OUTCOMES


SEPTEMBER 2012 :  Questionnaire: A questionnaire will be applied on all school members in order to  bring out the communication level among the students and teachers, and also all of the students- EVERYBODY will send their ideas to project coordinator


OCTOBER 2012 Poster:  A poster with the name of “ My body is talking” will be prepared and send it to every schol to take it to the Comenius corner - EVERYBODY


NOVEMBER 2012 : Prepare the Comenius corner, change the info about the schools - EVERYBODY


DECEMBER 2012Project logo :  A project logo will be created in a way of a competition – every school will have its own competition, and only one best logo will be chosen. The coordinator will send the best logo to every partner, where the voting will be realised. They  will send the winner to a project coordinator and the best logo will be there.- EVERYBODY


JANUARY 2013 :  Web site will be designed - SLOVAKIA
                              T-shirts :  T- shirts with the project logo will be designed.- BULGARIA


FEBRUARY 2013 : A course will be explained using only body language.
                                Mascot:  Five  mascots for the main goal of the project will be developed by each partners' students during the first visit in SLOVAKIA


MARCH 2013 : Photo Album: Pictures which show the body language signals will
be presented,and collected in a photo album – electronic form, put it on the website –
EVERYBODY


APRIL 2013 : The students will draw pictures that reflect their inner world and silent
expression. Then,comparing the body language of different cultures, language
variations and gestures in cultures which differ from West to East will be done-
EVERYBODY


MAY 2013 : A silent film which includes body language signs will be shown
during the Europa´s Day – celebrating. The silent film should be a kind of story. Every
country will send its film to other partners, and they will be visible on the web site.


JUNE 2013: A report to the NA

OCTOBER 2013: Recordings:  A pantomime show and a theatre will be
demonstrated and be recorded.- EVERYBODY
                             The meeting in Turkey


NOVEMBER 2013: Calendar: A calendar that shows the body signs and the
importance of communication will be prepared.- SPAIN
                                 A theatre with the name of “Let’s tell what!” will be acted by
the teachers and the pupils -  every country will receive some signs, actions
and movements from Turkey and we will guess what do they mean TURKEY

 

DECEMBER 2013: finishing the calendar by Spain

 

JANUARY 2014: A show which consists of wrong usage of body language will be
prepared with the collaboration of students and teachers.The shows will be filmed
and later on students and teachers will analyze how they felt when they produced a
certain kind of body language.Those analyses will be integrated into a video project
for dissemination – STUDY IT!!!!- EVERYBODY will make it and put it on the web
site


FEBRUARY 2014: The meeting in SPAIN


MARCH 2014: Brochures: Brochures which consists of  body posture, gestures,
facial expressions, and eye movements will be prepared with the collaboration of
students and teachers. POLAND


APRIL 2014: Magazine: A magazine in which we prepare those activities, picture
and photographs in order to announce these activities will be prepared.
EVERYBODY


MAY 2014: Short Movies :Final “short movies” video on DVD – collection of some of the best short communicative and educational movies made by pupils from different countries. Everybody will send some materials and SLOVAKIA is responsible for making a video


JUNE 2014:  Exhibition:

The photographs,posters,brochures,and all other project outcomes with the examples of the students'  performances will be exhibited at school. EVERYBODY
