Welcome coffee in the Headmaster’s office for teachers.
Ceremonial welcome meeting in the school hall – PowerPoint presentations, recorded pantomime and theatre shows of all countries, performances of our pupils.
Departure to the hostel and lunch in the hostel, kids have lunch at home.
Walking through the village, watching interesting spots –(If you want to climb the castle,we can climb it.It depends on the weather...),visiting vine factory and having chance to taste it.(for teachers.)
International dinner some traditional music and dancing (without children).

The first day: 21st of October 2013 / Monday
The first day Slovak and Spanish groups went to Ankara, the capital of Turkey.
First of all they visited “Suluhan”. It is very historic and interesting place... Old official building finished around 1500 AC. Today it is still a lovely place where you can buy souvenirs and small things for do-it-yourself decoration etc.
Second one is “Samanpazarı” a famous old market area above Ulus in old Ankara.
Then they visited “Kocatepe Cami - Kocatepe Mosque” is the largest mosque in Ankara. It was built between 1967 and 1987 in the Kocatepe quarter in Kızılay, and its size and prominent situation have made it a landmark that can be seen from almost anywhere in central Ankara.
And the last one is “Estergon Kalesi-Castle of Estergon” in Ankara city district Keçiören. This concrete rebuilt replica of the Hungarian Esztergom Castle serves today as "Ethnographical Museum" and is open to the public with free admission.
The second day: 22nd of October 2013 / Tuesday
The second day we started with a welcoming programme at our school DUMLUPINAR ORTAOKULU. Our school principal Mr. Ahmet PEKER made a welcoming speech to our guests. We went to the ceremony hall. First each country presented their PPT and then we watched theatre and pandomime shows of all partners which are previously recorded.
Our guests also watched performances of our kids.(Theatre and dance shows)

We had great time.
After lunch, we went to see some interesting places in Kalecik. First we went to “Develioğlu Köprüsü - Develioğlu Bridge” the construction of the bridge is very old and the longest river “Kızılırmak” pass under this old bridge.We went to one of the wine factories “Kalvi” in Kalecik. And then we climbed the “Kalecik Castle”.Our partners and kids got a chance to see panaromic view of Kalecik. It was tiring but enjoyable climbing. And the last we went to “Vuralhan Konağı – Vuralhan Mansion”. The ground floor of the mansion is used as a museum, upstairs is used as a restaurant.
In the evening we met together in the “Vuralhan Mansion” to have an international dinner. We had our dinner there and we watched a folk dance show from Ankara Cultural Association that belongs to Ankara province. Every school brought some typical breads, hams or sweets of their country. We listened to music and talked. Our headmaster played guitar and music teacher played saz. Our headmaster assistant sang Turkish songs.Our Slovak coordinator also played guitar and sang one of the famous song of Slovakia.We had a very nice time together.
The third day: 23rd of October 2013 / Wednesday
On the third day, we set off to “Cappadocia” to visit the historical places. First we went to Haci Bektasi Veli Museum, after that lunch time in “Avanos-Sarıkaya Restaurant”. The restaurant was avesome cave restaurant.We move to Çavuşin pottery workshop, our guests learned some information about the history of workshop and watched how the pottery is made and one of Slovak students tried to make pottery and then we visited Avanos onyx stone workshop and last we visited a very peculiar zone, where many houses are in caves in the mountains, the most important was the “Göreme Open Air Museum” where our guests saw several Christian cave-churches. In the fourth century, Cappadocia was known as the native land of three great saints: St. Basil the Great, St. Gregory of Nyssa and Gregory of Nazianzus.
The fourth day: 24th of October 2013 / Thursday
The fourth day, our guests learned some information about the history of Ankara, the capital of Turkey. On the last day, we went to Ankara with our guests to see the famous places such as Anıtkabir-Atatürk’s Mausoleum, Natural History Museum,Hamamönü, Ankara Castle, The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Then we went to Antares shopping mall and in the mall our guests had free time for buying something and then we watched a pandomime show.
After a long journey, we went back to Kalecik.
In the evening we had a goodbye party, thanked the participants for taking part in the third meeting, gave our guests nice presents.Every participant got the certificate about his/her taking part in the meeting and said the words of thanking.
After these officialities and dinner we had free time which we spent by talking, having fun, dancing and taking pictures. We had also a disco. because the participants also brought their typical music. We danced Turkish, Polish, Slovak and Spanish dances and had a very nice time together.
The fifth day: 25th of October 2013 / Friday
The next day our Headmaster “Ahmet PEKER” took our guests to the airport. They were so glad to be in Turkey and they liked the days they spent in Kalecik and other cities as well. As Turkey team, we were so pleased to welcome them and spend great time together. We are looking forward to meet our partners in Spain between 17th -21st February 2014.
